Jake and his Secret Mining Pal
have been Nevada's best kept
secret since the late 1900's.
when a lone pick and shovel
miner and his burro staked their
claim in a genuine ghost town
by the name of Goldfield in
Central Nevada in the United
States of America.
The Secret Mining Pal is a recluse hermit going about with his silent burro. He meets
a lot of people in his treks but leaves no tracks behind.

His few friends are scattered all over history, in the mountains, deserts, valleys and
cities where he has lived and lives. His old friend Jim Ramsey and other old-timers
write him letters of "Greetings" telling him of the "goings on" and about "the
diggings" in the different states he spends time prospecting.

The "Greetings" letters have made Jake a household name, well known for his
silence. A Burro that doesn't even bray but seems to talk with his famous looks
directed at his best pal or others in the world of wherever miners and cowboys are
found.

Jake and his silent mining pal have become well known along the central Nevada
deserts and beyond. They are trusted friends like the kind anyone wishes they would
meet at least once in a life time.
